The role will focus on looking at packaging design for my client’s Make Up range, consisting of all launch materials for the three trend launches per year, POS materials, flyers, still life photography and press materials.

The ideal person will have:

• Excellent Mac CS4 skills, good InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator skills
• Typographic skills
• Good artworking skills
• Repro, production & print knowledge
• Love of fashion
• Team player with excellent communication skills – ability to liaise at all levels
• Highly organised, self motivated, competent and can use own initiative
• Thrives on fast past environment
• Proven experience in a design role.
• Relevant fashion retail experience a plus but not essential

Our client is looking for an experienced designer with experience in working with factories and who can combine creative fliar with a confident attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work With Design Manager and Designers to ensure that trend and colour information is produced for the Dept in line with Company strategy.
• Attend trade fairs, taking on reporting new directions, and product opportunities.
• Identify and evaluate sources of inspiration leading to product opportunities to be incorporated into the ranges.
• Competitor analysis
• Liaise with International Franchisees during franchise weeks to sell the ranges and receive feedback
• Work closely with Buying and Merchandising to build the range
• Work closely with suppliers and sourcing offices to meet deadlines
• Work closely with technical team to ensure to meet safety standards.
• Produce design specs suitable for factories to interpret.
• Visit overseas factories and suppliers to develop samples, liaising with them to achieve successful results making revisions where necessary to suit processes available

Candidates must has worked for a retailer, manufactuer or design consultancy with strong Retail and CAD experience.
