Childrenwear and Toddler Designer

Our client is looking for an experienced designer with experience in working with factories and who can combine creative fliar with a confident attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work With Design Manager and Designers to ensure that trend and colour information is produced for the Dept in line with Company strategy.
- Attend trade fairs, taking on reporting new directions, and product opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate sources of inspiration leading to product opportunities to be incorporated into the ranges.
- Competitor analysis
- Liaise with International Franchisees during franchise weeks to sell the ranges and receive feedback
- Work closely with Buying and Merchandising to build the range
- Work closely with suppliers and sourcing offices to meet deadlines
- Work closely with technical team to ensure to meet safety standards.
- Produce design specs suitable for factories to interpret.
- Visit overseas factories and suppliers to develop samples, liaising with them to achieve successful results making revisions where necessary to suit processes available
Candidates must has worked for a retailer, manufactuer or design consultancy with strong Retail and CAD experience.
