Construction Project Manager

High Jewelry company seeks a Construction Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience and knowledge of Luxury Retail Construction. This person will report directly to the Director of Retail Development and assist in the daily construction operations. This position is remote. Applicants living outside the NYC area are welcome to apply. 

Responsibilities: 
• Manage/oversee the implementation/completion of multiple complex projects for global retail expansion 
• Generate and manage project processes, schedules and critical paths 
• Review blueprints, raising/resolving questions/issues/concerns, developing a complete understanding of projects, identifying specialty needs
• Meet with clients, architects, project manager for project review, responding to issues/questions/problems and acting as intermediary with conflict issues 
• Visit projects sites to ensure quality control 
• Review projects in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs 
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors 
• Daily review of the work progress 
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status 
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones 
• Analyze, manage and mitigate risks 
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques 
• Oversee closeout documents 
• 30% travel required 

Desired Skills and Experience: 
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field – Architect background a plus 
• 3-5 years’ experience in luxury construction/renovation project management 
• Must have a good understanding of ground up construction and/or major renovations in the luxury retail industry 
• Strong interpersonal, managerial, problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, scheduling, and multi-tasking skills 
• Blueprint interpretation skills required 
• Strong cost control and project budget management experience 
• AutoCAD proficiency required 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required 
• Strong ability to work with others: clients, fellow workers, subordinates and management 
• Strong abilities in scheduling and must be familiar with purchase orders, project manager documents and contract analysis, budget control, architecture design
