Our client, a leader in the healthcare and Life Sciences realm, is looking to bring on a contract Accountant starting in May 2024, through May 2025. Role is 100% onsite!Overview:
As an Accounting Contractor, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day accounting operations and monthly close process for our North American entities. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring timely collections, invoice processing, and journal entry processing for the monthly close cycle. This temporary position offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of one of the worldwide leaders in medical technology.
Responsibilities:
- Performs data entry related to accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reviews and processes billing transactions
- Codes invoices to accounts for North America accounts payable
- Prepares periodic account reconciliations including generating the support for those reconciliations
- Post cash receipts
- Book Journals to reflect financial activities (may include some or all of: accruals, fixed assets, accounts receivables, accounts payables, expenses, payroll)
- Perform general accounting tasks as assigned
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, particularly with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Experience with Microsoft Excel required
- Experience with SAP, Infor Visual, and Stampli a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and vendors
