Client Overview: Our client, a global leader in home décor, textiles, and design, is seeking a Packaging Design Coordinator to join their team in Glen Rock, New Jersey!


Role Overview: The Packaging Design Coordinator is a full time, in-house creative who will be focusing on Packaging/print design and development of packaging for home textile products including but not limited to area rugs, accent mats, towels, tabletop, pillows, throw blankets etc.

 

Packaging Design Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage packaging development from concept through production including but not limited to the creation/development of packaging, packaging releases, digital/pre-press review, and post-production review.
  • Excellent use of layout and design to ensure consistent branding across all product categories.
  • Report to Packaging Design Manager to make sure projects are on time to meet all deadlines.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Production and Photo Studio to obtain information and imagery needed on packaging.
  • Collaborate with international vendors for packaging production.
  • Produce packaging design presentations for meetings and sales pitches.
  • Implement the understanding and application of design for die lines of display packaging (PDQs) with the additional ability of creating 3D renderings for customer review.

 

Packaging Design Coordinator Qualifications:

  • BA or BFA in Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, or similar field
  • 1-3 years relevant design experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign are a must as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, SharePoint and Teams
  • Understanding of design, typography, layout principles, and production process
  • Understanding and implementation of pre-press and post-production print requirements and specifications
  • Experience with display packaging and die lines as well as individual product packaging.
