Public Relations Manager

Reporting to: Vice President, Global Brand Communications

Industry focus: Luxury fashion

Location (On-Site): NYC, Midtown Manhattan - onsite 5 days
 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Muck Rack, Cision, Launchmetrics, and other relevant programs.
  • Ability to manage junior team members
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills with critical attention to detail
  • Confident, engaging verbal and written communication skills


Responsibilities:

Media and Press Placement: Develop and execute PR strategy across multiple brands in partnership with the VP of Global Brand Communications to drive awareness, sales, and engagement within fashion, lifestyle, and entertainment communities. Draft and edit press materials including capsule collaborations, category launches, and new store openings. Pitch and secure long and short-lead brand features and product placement on a global scale. Responsible for editorial coverage of all product categories including men's, women's, accessories, etc. Support VP of Global Brand Communications with feature/news story placements and brand coverage. Manage and set up seasonal press previews. Secure pre and post-event press coverage for opening or brand events. Track, clip, and distribute brand press and product placement. Create and distribute monthly press recaps to company and global partners. Cultivate and strengthen meaningful relationships with editors, stylists, and influencers through regular outings and attendance at key events.

Brand Strategy & Initiatives: Participate in annual development and execution of global brand strategy. Partner with the marketing team to conceptualize and execute events, generating brand awareness and PR value: including brand initiatives, major store openings/new markets, and influencer partnerships.

VIP and Influencer Relations: Participate in the creation and execution of global celebrity/VIP/influencer dressing and seeding programs. Identifying brand-right targets for outreach, sample requests, and gifting.

Additional responsibilities: Provide recap following each preview including market trend overviews. Oversee all sample trafficking including organization of sample closets and collection inventory. Handle accompanying budgets, and coordinate invoicing and budgetary details. Manage and supervise a coordinator and intern.
